When a package makes sense
A package takes care of the order of the days and the transfers between the two cities. That is useful for a first trip when you do not want to plan flights, trains and guides yourself.
The cost is flexibility. Read the activity page for what each day includes, which hotels or standards apply and what is left for you to arrange, then compare it with building the same route from single-day tours.
Compare with the pieces
Beijing and Shanghai are linked by fast train, which you can book separately. The single-city tours below show how the same days look when you assemble them yourself, with more reviews behind each one.
